Your day to day
Having a knowledgeable and worldly team who can build on the uniqueness of the resort and bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences. As a VIP Guest Service Agent, your day to day will involve;
• Taking and managing guest bookings and using up-selling opportunities to improve their stay via our activities offered on and off island.
• Assisting guests with anything from bill issues to local knowledge.
• Perform In-Room dining and Housekeeping tasks for the VIP suites and guests.
• Providing the butler experience for our VIP guests.
• Jumping into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your help.
• Managing guests itinerary for their stay on the island.

What we need from you
Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of previous experience in a Bell Attendant, Concierge or Guest Service Agent role or similar and be passionate about offering every guest a warm welcome and friendly efficient service.
A problem solver with the capability to turn issues into opportunities, your exposure to wider hotel and resort operations and experience working within housekeeping or food and beverage in addition will be advantageous. With strong communication skills and the ability to think outside the box, you’re also physically fit and able to lift luggage and other items as needed to assist guests.
You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia alongside an open driver’s license and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required.
