About Us

As the world's largest family of luxury hotels, we all take great pride in being genuine ambassadors of the InterContinental® brand.

Shaped by decades of international expertise and local insight, our passion for luxury travel transcends cultures and borders, inspiring us to create warm, sophisticated and deeply personal experiences for those seeking a richer perspective on the world. Every InterContinental hotel reflects the character of its destination, offering distinctive experiences that celebrate exceptional hospitality and meaningful human connection.

Based at InterContinental Sydney, you will join a high-performing Commercial team and represent three iconic InterContinental destinations – InterContinental Sydney, InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef and InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.

From the heritage elegance of Sydney's CBD to the secluded island luxury of the Whitsundays and the tranquil resort surrounds of Sanctuary Cove, this portfolio offers an extraordinary collection of experiences for groups, meetings, incentives and events.

As Business Development Manager - Groups & Meetings, you will have the opportunity to introduce clients to these remarkable destinations, build meaningful partnerships and contribute to the continued success of one of Australia's most distinctive luxury hotel portfolios.

The Role

As Business Development Manager – Groups & Meetings, you will be responsible for proactively growing our Groups, Meetings, Incentives and Events (MICE) business across our luxury hotel portfolio.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven relationship builder to identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and position our hotels as destinations of choice for premium meetings and events. Working with corporate organisations, event agencies, Professional Conference Organisers and key decision-makers, you will create tailored solutions that deliver exceptional experiences while driving commercial success.

Working closely with each hotel's Sales leadership team, you will build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities before partnering with our reactive sales teams to convert business into memorable guest experiences.

With genuine autonomy, portfolio diversity and exposure across three iconic luxury hotels, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to broaden your commercial expertise, make a meaningful impact and continue your career journey with IHG Hotels & Resorts.

As our Business Development Manager, you will:

• Identify and develop new corporate, group and MICE business opportunities across the portfolio.
