Duties and Responsibilities  

As Ski Butler, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:  

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and offer assistance with their ski or snowboard equipment.
     
  • Ensure all ski and snowboard gear is properly labelled, stored and managed for easy access and prompt delivery.
     
  • Prepare guests' equipment daily, including drying, warming and placement near accommodation or transport.
     
  • Offer boot warming and fitting assistance with professional care and attention to guest comfort.
     
  • Provide cleaning, drying and light maintenance of equipment, including minor repairs or liaison with rental/repair partners.
     
  • Coordinate with ski rental shops for delivery, pick-up and replacement of equipment.
     
  • Manage ski lesson bookings, including new reservations, amendments and cancellations in line with guest requests.
     
  • Handle ski pass arrangements, including issuing, collection, amendments and coordination with resort partners.
     
  • Complete all related administrative duties, ensuring ski bookings, guest records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
     
  • Maintain familiarity with different types of ski and snowboard equipment and their handling requirements.
     
  • Check equipment daily to ensure it is in top condition and inform guests of any issues.
     
  • Assist with transportation of gear for lessons, excursions or heli-skiing trips.
     
  • Provide ski-in/ski-out service where applicable, ensuring equipment readiness at designated locations.
     
  • Offer warm beverages, amenities or snacks upon guests’ return from the slopes.
     
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all stored items.
     
  • Ensure ski storage areas are clean, organized and safe at all times.
     
  • Anticipate guest needs and personalize service to exceed expectations.
     
  • Work closely with GEMs and other departments to coordinate guest schedules and activities.
     
  • Provide updates on mountain weather, lift conditions and slope status.
     
  • Handle guest feedback graciously and ensure prompt follow-up.
     
  • Uphold safety and security procedures, particularly in winter conditions.
     
  • Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
     
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
     
  • Stay informed about mountain safety, equipment trends and resort activities.
     
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management.

 

Qualifications

To execute the position of Ski Butler I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar hotel operational role. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  
  • Familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have good knowledge on how to swim. I have knowledge of hospitality operations, including emergency evacuation drills.  
  • Fluent in French & English
  • European passport or valid Swiss work authorization.
