Cluster General Manager – InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar & Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar

As Cluster General Manager, you will lead two distinctive hotels in Bandung, InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar and Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar, bringing together the strength of two IHG brands while ensuring each retains its own distinct identity and guest experience.

You will provide the strategic and operational leadership across both hotels, driving commercial performance, strengthening their positioning across luxury, lifestyle, weddings, MICE and leisure, and maximising the opportunities created by the scale of the cluster. You will build high-performing teams, develop strong relationships with ownership and key stakeholders, and ensure both hotels continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong financial returns.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PEOPLE:

• Develop programmes and initiatives to increase team engagement, aligned with each hotel’s service philosophy.
• Develop, implement and monitor succession planning across both hotels to ensure future bench strength.
• Establish performance and development goals for leadership team members, providing mentoring, coaching and regular feedback.
• Foster a collaborative cluster culture while maintaining the distinct identity of InterContinental and Hotel Indigo.
• Oversee HR-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

• Maintain compliance with all required InterContinental and Hotel Indigo brand and service standards.
• Ensure each hotel delivers a clearly differentiated guest experience consistent with its brand positioning.
• Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals across both properties.
• Collaborate with hotel teams to establish and implement services and programmes that meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain a visible presence across both hotels, seeking guest feedback and building relationships.

FINANCIAL:

• Prepare annual capital, cash flow, revenue, sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets for both hotels.
• Analyse financial performance to drive revenue, profitability and maximum return on investment.
• Develop a cohesive cluster commercial strategy while maintaining distinct positioning for each hotel.
• Drive revenue and market share across rooms, food and beverage, weddings, meetings and events.
• Use distribution channels and technology platforms to maximise revenue and market share.
• Lead capital plans and asset-management initiatives, working with ownership to maintain and improve the market position of both properties.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and hotel assets across both properties.
• Act as a public relations representative to raise awareness of both hotels and brands within the local community.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ownership, key stakeholders and the wider Bandung community.
• Drive colleague involvement in community organisations, activities and local businesses.
• Develop and carry out action plans to reduce the environmental footprint of both hotels.
• Perform other duties as assigned and serve as manager on duty when required.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Proven General Manager experience within a luxury, lifestyle, upper-upscale or similarly complex hotel environment.
• Cluster, multi-property or multi-brand leadership experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience driving revenue, profitability and market share.
• Experience leading significant food and beverage, wedding, MICE and event operations.
• Strong owner and stakeholder management capability.
• Outstanding leadership skills, with a track record of developing and retaining high-performing, culturally diverse teams.
• Experience in Indonesia or a comparable Southeast Asian market is highly advantageous.
• Must speak fluent English. Bahasa Indonesia and other languages are preferred.
