Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will support and supervise daily engineering operations to ensure the smooth functioning, maintenance and safety of all hotel facilities, equipment and systems. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supervising the engineering team, ensuring timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance, and maintaining operational efficiency. You will also ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety regulations and departmental procedures while contributing to a comfortable and safe environment for guests and colleagues.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Supervise daily engineering operations, assign tasks and coordinate the work of engineering colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

• Monitor and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance, routine inspections and corrective repairs of hotel equipment and facilities.

• Troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building systems, ensuring timely resolution.

• Ensure proper maintenance of engineering tools, equipment and inventory while monitoring supplies and reporting maintenance requirements.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, hotel policies and IHG brand requirements while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

What We need from you:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree / technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related field.

• Two to three years of relevant experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance, preferably with supervisory experience.

• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems and general building maintenance.

• Ability to supervise a team, coordinate maintenance activities and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Basic English communication skills; additional languages will be an advantage.
