Job Summary
The Senior Sales Executive – Catering is responsible for generating catering revenue by securing corporate, government, social, and private events. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the sales process. Working closely with operational departments, the Senior Sales Executive ensures successful event planning and execution while maximizing revenue and maintaining the hotel's luxury service standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve catering revenue and profitability targets.
Generate new catering business through prospecting, networking, referrals, sales calls, and market research.
Identify opportunities within corporate, government, educational, healthcare, and social event sectors.
Conduct regular client visits, networking events, and promotional activities to increase market presence.
Represent the hotel at exhibitions, business forums, and industry events.
- Respond promptly to any inquiries and provide professional consultation to prospective clients.
- Prepare customized catering proposals, menus, quotations, and contracts based on client requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and event packages within approved hotel guidelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication before, during, and after each event.
- Work closely with Banquet Operations, Food & Beverage, Purchasing, Finance, Stewarding, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Conduct pre-event meetings to review event details and operational requirements.
- Monitor event preparation to ensure compliance with hotel quality standards and client expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in a luxury hotel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
