We are looking for a Marketing Manager who understands that luxury is not performed. It is expressed through atmosphere, curation, and the right word at the right moment. 

THE ROLE

Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of The Alva's marketing strategy. Your work will drive brand awareness, support commercial performance, and ensure The Alva's voice remains consistent, credible, and distinctly its own across every touchpoint. 

This is a role for someone who is as comfortable developing a campaign narrative as they are reviewing digital performance, and who brings genuine curiosity about culture, place, and the way a hotel can tell a story. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own The Alva's social presence end to end. From content creation through to production, building a voice and visual world that's unmistakably ours across every platform

• Drive digital performance using data to sharpen strategy, tracking what's working, and continually refining The Alva's presence across web, social, and the IHG brand website

• Build partnerships and activations that connect The Alva to Brisbane's cultural scene, from local collaborators to third-party opportunities that extend the brand's reach

• Lead PR by managing media relationships, responding to enquiries with confidence, and shaping the stories that mark the hotel's wins and recognitions

• Act as custodian of The Alva's brand by safeguarding tone, visual identity, and narrative consistency across every touchpoint

• Bring the hotel's key events to life, with sharpest focus during the periods that matter most commercially

• Own the marketing budget — allocating it with precision and accountability

• Scout new opportunities across key target markets, staying ahead of where the business is heading

• Report on marketing performance, translating activity into insight

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field 

• 2-4 years of experience in a hospitality or hotel marketing setting 

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills 

• Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative marketing solutions 

• Experience in budget management and resource allocation 

• Proficiency in the local language (additional languages preferred) 

• Passion for luxury hospitality and a commitment to delivering True Hospitality 

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
