Sales Manager - Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon

Your day-to-day

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders
• Managing existing accounts, including handling contracts and reservation in the system
• Search for new corporate accounts and groups, negotiating optimal rates to benefit the business
• Manage all corporate accounts, including local negotiated accounts and those signed globally by IHG
• Developing and executing tailored sales plans to drive room occupancy and revenue
• Develop and maintain a consistent pattern of sales calls, meeting with key decision-makers in the target market.
• Establish and maintain contact with business generators, meeting and convention planners, visitors/convention bureaus, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, government departments, and other key stakeholders
• Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies
• Preparing sales reports and presentations to track performance and identify opportunities
• Maintain regular contact with IHG hotels in the region, IHG Support Office, and Shared Services Office (Sales & Marketing, Reservation, Revenue for Hire, Distribution Relationship Marketing, Marketing Communication).
• Collaborating with the wider hotel team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior sales team members
• Responsible for an assigned sales target in accordance to market segment
• Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion
• Works with leadership team in the preparation and management of the Sales & Marketing budget.
• Assists in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget.
• Implement directions from the General Manager and Area Director of Sales & Marketing
• Participate in revenue meetings and pricing calls to ensure alignment with the hotel’s strategy
• Assist with marketing requests during absence of Marketing Team and help operations team if required
• Use Oasis and other programs and instruments of IHG as work tools. Keep current documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly actions.
• Takes ownership of daily sales activities and maximize the productivity by following a system of weekly and monthly action plans

What we need from you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation abilities
• Proficient in data analysis
• Knowledge of the hotel market and industry trends
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
